Welcome back Veronica Mars
One scene in to the season premiere and I was already remembering why it’s the best show on television. The best writing, good mysteries, and Kristen Bell is a hottie.

Welcome back Veronica Mars.
I’m a little behind on my TV. The new season just sort of snuck up on me. Luckily my TiVo is more alert than me so it has already started recording some of my favorite shows. I just had to fill in the new shows. At the same time I decided to clean out some of the old ones. Desperate Housewives and LOST have been moved to summer this year. I don’t care enough to watch Desperate Housewives during the season and LOST was much easier to watch during the summer (as I did with season 1) when I can watch two or three shows at a clip.
Here are the shows on my TiVo for this season:
Non-primetime shows:
Pardon the Interruption, weekdays at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Daily Show, Monday-Thursday at 11:00 p.m. on Comedy Central*
Robot Chicken, Sundays at 10:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim*
The Soup, Fridays at 10:30 on Comedy Central*
Drawn Together, Thursdays at 10:30 on Comedy Central*
*Replayed often throughout the week
Daily Show, Family Guy, LOST, Pilots, Robot Chicken, Smallville, TV, TiVo, Veronica Mars
I’m always in favor of using technology to do something better. Especially when it’s so obvious. In this case, it’s the CW agreeing to run Veronica Mars, Everybody Hates Chris, and Runaway (new pilot) on MSN.com a week before they premiere on TV.
Runaway will debut online Sept. 18. The first hour of Veronica Mars will be available beginning Sept. 26 and Everybody Hates Chris goes live on Sept. 24. Frustratingly, they will only run online until their premieres.
It’s dumb to only run them until their premieres and it’s only streaming, not something truly nice like the ability to download the shows and burn them to DVD. But it’s a start, and a good idea for shows which have younger demos more likely to watch online.
