I just caught the pilot of this animated spoof on the spy world and laughed like a maniac. It’s crass like you can only get away with on deep cable (hopefully FX won’t censor it), and bitingly funny. It’s not quite slap-stick Naked Gun comedy, but close. Check out the clip from the pilot below and program your TiVo come January.

Thank god. Would’ve been worse than the new Napster if they came back with all new voices.
Futurama gets ALL of its original voices back – TV Squad.

At Comic-Con this week the Family Guy cast, including Seth MacFarlane, Seth Green, Mila Kunis and Alex Borstein, discussed next season’s episodes. The highlight, of course, being the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back themed episode.
Here are the notes from the Zap2It News blog:
- The “Star Wars”-ish intro text: “A long time ago when the gays weren’t all in your face about it … “
- Mocking “Family Guy” network FOX’s bad judgment, pointing to how it canceled the show twice!
- Cameos by one of the Jetsons and a Muppet
- A really freaky hybrid of a Tauntaun and a deceased comedian. It’s rather disturbing.
- CG ships and AT-ATs
- Stewie as a really cute Vader
- “Something Something Dark Side” will hopefully air on Christmas, but that’s dependent on how much of it they get done. Genius takes time, people.
One other interesting note: “You WON’T see the ‘Family Guy’ abortion episode because it’s going straight to DVD. FOX encouraged them to produce the episode, but are too afraid to air it.”

Love the idea of creating web-only short episodes of Family Guy. Works well with their format, and using Brian and Stewie is perfect. FOX gets to use the episodes to hype other shows (like they did with The Winner in the episode below), they help promote MySpace videos (FOX owns MySpace), and they could even toss them on the DVDs as added bonuses.
Here’s the first one. Not bad.
