My New Favorite Show: Archer, starting in January on FX
I just caught the pilot of this animated spoof on the spy world and laughed like a maniac. It’s crass like you can only get away with on deep cable (hopefully FX won’t censor it), and bitingly funny. It’s not quite slap-stick Naked Gun comedy, but close. Check out the clip from the pilot below and program your TiVo come January.

Louis C.K. comedy picked up by FX
So glad to see that a new Louis CK show is set to premiere in 2010 on FX. Lucky Louis on HBO got cut too soon.

Making Hank a professor in a school full of young temptations seems a bit contrived, but it should be funny.
Ed Burns heads back to Queens for Bayside Boys
I’ll watch just about anything with Ed Burns. And if it’s anything like Entourage, I’m definitely in.
Timothy Olyphant stars in new FX drama, Lawman
To replace The Shield, FX decided to take the same formula and set it in the Old West. The new series will be called “Lawman,” and who better to star than the fan favorite from Deadwood, Timothy Olyphant.

Lawman starring Timothy Olyphant
Givens is described as “an anachronism – a tough, soft spoken gentleman who finds his quarry fascinating, but never gives an inch. Dig under his placid skin and you’ll find an angry man who grew up hard in rural Kentucky, with an outlaw father, who knows a lot more about who he doesn’t want to be than who he really is.” He’ll fit right in with the current cast of outlaws, misfits, and loners on other various FX programs.

All Futurama original voice actors coming back
Thank god. Would’ve been worse than the new Napster if they came back with all new voices.
