BOONTON, N.J. (AP) – Police in northern New Jersey needed pepper spray to thwart a groundhog on the attack. Boonton resident Alex Scott told police the rodent chased him when he entered his garage and tried to get his truck. Police Sgt. Mike Danyo and Officer Paul Ryan said the groundhog went on the attack when they arrived.
Police said Danyo tripped and fell. His partner sprayed pepper spray into the groundhog’s face, giving the officers time to snare it.
The animal was euthanized and its remains will be shipped to the state health department for rabies testing.

And this year’s award for Father of the Year goes to …
Cory Petero, 36, of Riverbank, CA for running into his son’s little league football game and decking an opposing player after the boy committed a late-hit on his son. Not wanting to wait for a late-hit penalty – and it wasn’t a bad late-hit – Petero sprints on to the field and lays out the opposing player with a forearm to the back of his helmet.
Obviously, this prompted an all-out brawl and Petero was arrested for felony child abuse.

In mid-flight, the pilot of a Canadian airliner got up to use the restroom and left the co-pilot to fly the plane. When he finished and tried to go back into the cockpit, the door was jammed. He then spent the next 10 minutes banging on the door and talking to the co-pilot over an internal phone system. Finally the door had to be removed.
Would have been hilarious if some upstanding citizen in first class awoke to see the pilot bang on the door the first time and tackled him, thinking a hijacker disguised himself as a pilot.

Ah, you gotta love Floridians and their violent ways.
On Tuesday, three lawn workers in Florida got into a fight. But they didn’t go into the scrum empty-handed. One grabbed a baseball bat, the other picked up a weed whacker (”to defend himself”) and a third ran in to break up the fight wielding a hammer.
My favorite part of the story: “Information on his legal representation was not available Thursday.”
Yeah, I’m going to go out on a limb and say he’s probably gonna be relying on the court-appointed counsel.

A 29-year-old guy traveling with his mother to Turkey was stopped at airport when officials found something strange in his bag. Not wanting his mother to know that he had packed a penis pump, he told the officials it was a bomb.
I’ll move right past the part where he’s traveling with his mother yet still didn’t feel like he could leave the “sexual aide” behind. My question is how badly do you fear your mother when you’d rather look airport security in the face and tell them you packed a bomb – especially in the current climate and your name is Madin Azad Amin.

Over the weekend, Sweden’s state broadcaster SVT accidentally
went on the air with a porn movie playing on one of the monitors in the background.
The monitor was earlier being used by some of the employees to watch sports. But apparently that channel routinely shows porn after midnight and the boys forgot to change the channel. Oops.
