Fantasy Show’s Freeman says play David Boston?

September 8th, 2006

Just finished watching the game and turned on ESPN’s The Fantasy Show to see what they have to say for the weekend. (I didn’t have anyone playing in tonight’s game so it wasn’t important to me to catch the show before the game.)

It’s the second episode I’ve watched now and it’s still OK. But, what is up with Antonio Freeman telling people to play David Boston? I’m a huge Bucs fan and I really hope that Boston works out, but I’m not holding my breath. I guess if you’re in like a 14-person league that starts 3 WRs each game, then maybe you play Boston. Short of that, I think he’s crazy.

Still, it’s definitely worth watching if for no other reason than to just star at the beauty that is Danni Boatwright. She is such a hottie.

I don’t think he said play em. he said keep an eye on him

I went back and watched it again. He actually called them “my flex players”. I assumed that to mean players you would play in a flex position. I don’t play in any leagues with flex players, but I believe they are extra slots that can be used by a WR, RB or any other offensive player.

I realize that isn’t the same as starting him over Marvin Harrison, but it’s still suggesting starting him.

He also said that Jon Gruden had breathed new life into aging
players in the past like Jerry Rice, Tim Brown and Joey Galloway. “I see David Boston as next in line.” I’m a Bucs fan so I really hope he’s right, but I don’t think so. I’d rather have Edell Shepard (who the Bucs cut) instead of Boston.

Guess it doesn’t matter now. The Bucs cut Boston.

the guy apparently won the #3 job in camp, not sure why he got axed hours before week one. that offense needs all the help it can get.

3d – I agree they definitely need some people to step up, but I think its more along the offensive line than receiver.

I think it was dumb to keep him around that long and then cut him, but I think they did it to make room for some other guys who had to be brought up from the practice squad to play in place of some injured guys.
