Snakes on a Plane tops the box office, but not the hype
Here we go. Last week a media darling, Snakes is now seeing how quickly the media can turn. They are in the business of writing stories and now the story is that the quirky cult sensation didn’t live up to what some people thought it would make.
It “only” made $15.3 million over the weekend.
Of course, that’s about $14 million more than any movie this blatantly bad would normally make. And it did take the number one spot. Within three or four weeks it will become profitable, that’s more than can be said for Superman Returns.
